Making a difference in people lifes will impact the way you see the world and make you continue to step out of your comfort zone to help others. Lending a helping hand or being a friend to others makes a difference to the people you spend time with more than it does to you. Why would someone want to become a volunteer?
When you become a volunteer and impact people with your life stories you feel change in your life. Just by volunteering with people you will make a difference in your life, and how you see your surroundings change, like the people you hnagout with and you feel and become more confident and positive. For most people they will make more of a difference in the people lives who they meet. You bring love and joy, and happiness to other lifes.
When volunteering you gain confidence and more patience, especially if you work with people. You will learn so many new life skills, how to make new friends. An idea to help make you more patient is to volunteer with people, such as young adults with mild to moderate disabilities or in a nursing home with elders. You can learn how to be patience and learn new life skills and it would be helpful in so many ways.
Volunteering, does it actually make a difference?
Volunteering makes you feel a sense of purpose, brings a light to your life and helps brighten up your day. Feeling a sense of change being made, by the love and compassion you show towards others. By making a difference you have not only impacted you and someone else but also other people who you see. Being happy with volunteering brings happiness to those around you and makes the environment more happy and positive.
Not everyone has the drive or passion to work with people or be a volunteer in general. Some people do not have the patience and would not be able work well with people with disabilities or elders who need extra time or like you work and do tasks at a slower pase.
Volunteering makes your college applications better?
Some people volunteer because they need hours for school clubs such as NHS or for college applications. People tend to use volunteer hours to make them look good on an application and resume for a job or college. Being able to add these experiences make you stand out and that is a reason many people volunteer every so often. Volunteering is good on applications for college. It helps the admission office people want to keep looking at your application. College applications look for people who stand out and volunteer hours are such a great addition to an application. The more volunteer opportunities you get involved in the more likely they are too want to keeping reading your apl;ication and hear more.
It is all school driven, they choose to do it to make themselves look good. People will use these incredible oppurtunities to make themselves get ahead in life and ahead in school. They do not see the difference they make and choose to use volunteering for college applications.
What benefits are there with volunteering?
Volunteering is an opportunity to give back to the community. People sometimes do not know how to give back in ways that are effective to many people. The ways you can are just by giving your own time whether it is through an organization like Starlite or Hand to hand, and/ or Kids food basket. You can give back and make a difference one simple way at a time. Giving back makes you feel happy and brings a sense of joy and love into your life, you feel like you make a difference. You brighten people’s days and bring happiness and smiles to other people’s lives. Such as giving them food, or spending time with them.
Not all volunteering helps support the community. Some volunteer oppurtunities do not help people in the community and they do not feel the impact a good volunteer oppurtunity would make them feel. Especially when helping others.
