Does coffee actually wake you up or is it all in your head?

Caffeine is  the most used drugs in the US. “In the US there are around 400 million cups of coffee drank in one day by all the US citizens. More than half of coffee drinkers would rather give up their morning shower then give up their morning cup of coffee.” (https://disturbmenot.co/coffee-statistics/) “But this is probably because it reverses the fatiguing effects of overnight caffeine withdrawal” Jenny Hope. When you go to bed after a pop or a coffee you feel like you have energy you wake up but when you sleep. You miss that source of energy you get a withdrawal just like you would from any other drug . It causes you to be in a sour mood, so then when you drink that coffee it will make you feel normal or happy. The coffee is not actually giving you that energy its you just feeding in to your addiction.

On the chemical level, caffeine is structurally similar to adenosine, a chemical that makes us sleepy. When we drink coffee, caffeine binds to our brain’s adenosine receptors, preventing the chemical from binding with the receptors and making us tired.” Anthony Domanico. Coffee contains many chemicals that can harm you and cause reactions to happen to you that could end up in not so good results. The chemical adenosine is a short acting endogenous molecule that is a purine nucleoside. It does not last that long. It has a half life so it  does not do what you think it does, then want you to have more.

“Several unwanted side effects of consuming more than 400 mg of caffeine per day, including:a fast heartbeat, anxiety, Agitation, Restlessness, sleeping, problems, and tremors.” There are alot of effects that you can get from drinking coffee and drinking too much of it. If coffee affects you so much that it alters your sleep, and causing anxiety it should not be put  it to your body in a large amount.

I know some students at the high school do not drink coffee but you do drink energy drinks. They are not any better than coffee.  “Energy drinks also may contain other ingredients such as guarana (another source of caffeine sometimes called Brazilian cocoa), sugars, taurine, ginseng, B vitamins, glucuronolactone, yohimbe, carnitine, and bitter orange.” Most of the ingredents in energy drinks are not actually helping you with what you think. The companies that make energy drinks try to get you to get there drinks and want you to continue to get them.

Coffee drinkers around the world are in trouble for drinking coffee and too much of it. If you drink coffee in a large amount i would be careful and watch what you believe and is put in to your body.
